Move your Apple Fitness history into TrainRec

Workouts you record with Apple's Workout app and Fitness are already in Apple Health. Turn on Health sync in TrainRec and they show up on their own.

How it gets in

Best results: your assistant. A connected assistant reads any export whole, fixes dates and units as it goes, and can bring in food and measurements, not just workouts. Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, is best for telling it what you did and for small pasted pieces. The other routes are there when you'd rather not involve either.

  • On its own, through Apple HealthEvery plan, on iPhone

Apple's own workouts are saved straight to Apple Health. There's nothing to turn on in Fitness. Turn on Apple Health sync in TrainRec (Profile, then Sync with Apple Health) and allow the kinds of data you want. Anything Apple Fitness has written to Apple Health shows up in TrainRec by itself: workouts as sessions with time, distance, calories and heart rate, plus weigh-ins, body fat, blood pressure, resting heart rate, HRV and sleep. Set-by-set lifting detail and food don't travel through Health, so use your assistant for those.

Good to know

  • To bring in years of history at once, turn on sync and allow workouts. TrainRec reads what's already in Health.
