Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-21.
These terms are an agreement between you and Manifest Post, Inc. ("we", "us"), which makes TrainRec. They cover the TrainRec app, this website and the parts that work with your AI assistant. By using TrainRec, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
TrainRec is not medical advice. It keeps a record of your workouts and food and shows the plan you and your assistant make. Nothing in TrainRec, on this website or from your assistant is medical, nutritional or professional advice. See section 2.
We've tried to write these in plain words. Where the law where you live gives you rights that these terms can't take away, those rights win. See Where you live.
1. Who can use TrainRec
You must be at least 18. TrainRec tracks food and helps plan exercise, and we built it for adults.
You need an account, and you're responsible for what happens in it. Keep your sign-in safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
2. Not medical advice
TrainRec helps you keep a record of your workouts and what you eat. Plans and targets in the app, including anything your assistant writes, are general information. They are not medical advice, and they do not take the place of your doctor or dietitian.
Plans your assistant writes come from your assistant, not from Manifest Post, Inc.
Using TrainRec doesn't make us your doctor or your trainer. TrainRec is not for emergencies. If you think you need urgent help, call your local emergency number.
3. Work out at your own risk
Exercise and changes to what you eat can cause injury or illness. Talk to your doctor before you start, especially if you have a health condition or are pregnant. If something hurts or you feel faint, stop and get help.
You decide what to do, and you are responsible for that choice. To the extent the law allows, Manifest Post, Inc. is not responsible for injury or illness that comes from exercise or eating you choose to do.
If you have, or have had, an eating disorder, counting food can make it worse. Please talk to a health professional before you use the food log.
4. Your AI assistant
You can connect an AI assistant that you use under your own account with another company, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or xAI. That company's own terms and privacy policy cover your use of their assistant. We don't make or control it.
When you connect an assistant, it can read and change your log, as you allow. It acts on what you ask it. It can get things wrong, including food numbers and workout plans, so check what it writes. Every change shows whether you or your assistant made it, and you can undo any of it. You can disconnect your assistant whenever you like.
Food numbers come from the label you give or from your assistant's estimate. We don't check them, and they may not be exact.
5. Your data is yours
Your log belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and show it to you and to the assistants you connect, only so we can run TrainRec for you. We never sell your data, and there are never ads in TrainRec. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and who helps us run the service. The subprocessors page lists every outside service.
You can delete your account at any time. When you do, we delete your log, except anything the law makes us keep.
6. Plans and payment
The free plan is the whole tracker, with no limits. Paid plans add features for your assistant. Each paid plan's price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.
Apple or Google bills you, and their rules cover renewals, cancelling and refunds. A subscription renews until you cancel it in your store account settings. If you cancel, you keep the paid features until the end of the period you paid for. If we change a price, we'll tell you before it applies. You can cancel before then.
7. Using TrainRec fairly
Please don't break the law with TrainRec, or try to get into other people's accounts. Don't try to break or overload the service, and don't copy or resell it. If you do, we may suspend or close your account. Unless it's urgent or the law stops us, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
8. Changes
TrainRec will change as we improve it, and sometimes we'll remove a feature. If we make a big change to these terms, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using TrainRec and delete your account.
9. What we promise, and what we don't
We work hard to keep TrainRec running and your log safe. But TrainRec is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available and free of mistakes, or that it is right for your goals.
10. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for lost profits or data. In any case, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law says can't be limited. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud.
11. Where you live
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes go to the courts there.
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, or another country whose consumer laws protect you, you keep those protections. You can also bring a claim in the courts where you live. Nothing in these terms takes away a right that your local law gives you as a consumer.
12. If you got TrainRec from the App Store or Google Play
These terms are between you and Manifest Post, Inc., not Apple or Google. We, not Apple, are responsible for TrainRec, its content and its support. We, not Apple, also handle any claim about it, including product liability, consumer protection, legal compliance, and claims that it infringes someone else's rights. If TrainRec fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it. Apple has no other warranty duty for TrainRec. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you're not in a country under a US embargo, and not on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties. Your use of the store is also covered by Apple's or Google's own terms.
