Delete your TrainRec account

You can delete your TrainRec account and everything in it at any time, in the app or by email.

In the app

1. Open TrainRec and tap You.
2. Tap Delete account, then Delete everything.

Your account is deleted from our servers right away.

Without the app

If you've already removed the app, email hello@trainrec.app from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account. We delete it and reply to confirm.

What gets deleted

Your account and everything in it: workouts, routines, food, measurements, notes and settings, plus your connected assistants, your reminders, any invite records, your Help & support messages and the history of changes. The one thing we keep is a count of the free Coach messages you've used, tied to a scrambled form of your sign-in ID, and nothing else, not even your name or email. It stops a new account from resetting the free messages. Coach chats are kept only on your phone, so they go when you delete the app.

What we keep, and for how long

Our backups are encrypted before they leave our server. Daily backups are kept for 30 days, and one backup from the start of each month is kept for 12 months, so a copy of a deleted account can stay in them until they expire. We never restore a deleted account from a backup. Apart from the free Coach message count above, we keep anything else only where the law requires it. See the privacy policy.

Delete some of your data and keep your account

In the app: open any workout, routine, food entry or body measurement and delete it. Each deletion shows under Profile, then Changes, where you can undo it. You can also ask your connected assistant, or Coach, to delete entries for you.

Without the app: email hello@trainrec.app from the address you signed in with and tell us what to delete.

What happens: the entry is gone from your log right away. Workouts, food and measurements that TrainRec saved to Apple Health are removed from Health the next time your phone syncs.

What we keep: your change history keeps a copy of each deleted entry, so Undo works. That copy stays until you delete your account. To remove it sooner, email us and we'll delete it by hand, or delete your account, which removes the history too. Backups expire as described above.

Coach chats: tap Clear in Coach to erase the chat. It lives only on your phone and is never stored on our servers.

What we can't delete for you

• Apple Health: workouts and other data TrainRec saved to Apple Health stay there. Delete them in the Health app.
• Subscriptions: deleting your account doesn't cancel billing. Cancel your plan in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
