Move your Withings history into TrainRec

Send your Withings weigh-ins, body fat and blood pressure to Apple Health and they show up in TrainRec on their own. You can also export everything from Withings as CSV files and hand them to your assistant.

How it gets in

Best results: your assistant. A connected assistant reads any export whole, fixes dates and units as it goes, and can bring in food and measurements, not just workouts. Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, is best for telling it what you did and for small pasted pieces. The other routes are there when you'd rather not involve either.

  • Through your assistantConnect or CoachBest results

Export the file from Withings, attach it in your connected assistant's chat (Claude today) and say "Import this into TrainRec". It reads the whole file, sorts out odd dates, units and exercise names, and moves everything in with TrainRec's import tools, as one batch you can undo in one tap. With Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, describe what you did ("log my last two weeks: bench 3x5 at 185 on Monday...") or paste a small piece of the export, up to about a couple of weeks at a time. If something looks off afterward, just say so and it fixes it.

  • On its own, through Apple HealthEvery plan, on iPhone

Withings can send weight, body fat, blood pressure, resting heart rate, HRV and sleep to Apple Health. In the Withings app, open Profile, then Settings, then Export health data to Apple Health, and choose your categories. Turn on Apple Health sync in TrainRec (Profile, then Sync with Apple Health) and allow the kinds of data you want. Anything Withings has written to Apple Health shows up in TrainRec by itself: workouts as sessions with time, distance, calories and heart rate, plus weigh-ins, body fat, blood pressure, resting heart rate, HRV and sleep. Set-by-set lifting detail and food don't travel through Health, so use your assistant for those.

Export from Withings

CSV files of your weight and body composition, blood pressure, sleep and activity, sent by email.

  1. Open Withings settings. In the Withings app, open Profile, then the settings icon at the top right.
  2. Export your data. Choose Export All Health Data, pick the user and tap Start my archive. The CSV files arrive by email.
  3. Give them to your assistant. Attach the files in your assistant's chat and say "Import this into TrainRec".
  4. Check it in TrainRec. Your history shows up on the calendar and in your records. Something look off? Ask your assistant to fix it. You can also undo the whole batch from Changes.

Good to know

  • Withings accounts created on or after October 13, 2026 need a Withings+ subscription to send data to Apple Health. The CSV export stays free, so use your assistant instead.
  • Withings doesn't sync to Apple Health in the background. Open the Withings app now and then so new readings go across.
