Move your JEFIT history into TrainRec
Download your JEFIT history as a CSV file from the JEFIT website and hand it to your assistant, which reads it and moves your workouts into TrainRec.
How it gets in
Best results: your assistant. A connected assistant reads any export whole, fixes dates and units as it goes, and can bring in food and measurements, not just workouts. Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, is best for telling it what you did and for small pasted pieces. The other routes are there when you'd rather not involve either.
Through your assistantConnect or CoachBest results
Export the file from JEFIT, attach it in your connected assistant's chat (Claude today) and say "Import this into TrainRec". It reads the whole file, sorts out odd dates, units and exercise names, and moves everything in with TrainRec's import tools, as one batch you can undo in one tap. With Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, describe what you did ("log my last two weeks: bench 3x5 at 185 on Monday...") or paste a small piece of the export, up to about a couple of weeks at a time. If something looks off afterward, just say so and it fixes it.
Export from JEFIT
One file with your exercises and logged sessions. It isn't one row per set, which is why your assistant is the best way in: it sorts the sections out for you.
We couldn't find an official JEFIT help page for this export, so these steps come from the app itself and may have moved.
- Sign in on the web. Go to jefit.com on a computer and sign in.
- Find the export. Open My Jefit, then Settings, then Data Controls.
- Export your data. Tap Export Data and download the CSV. Some people get it by email instead.
- Give it to your assistant. Attach the file in your assistant's chat and say "Import this into TrainRec".
- Check it in TrainRec. Your history shows up on the calendar and in your records. Something look off? Ask your assistant to fix it. You can also undo the whole batch from Changes.
Good to know
- Weights come out in whatever unit JEFIT is set to.
- JEFIT sessions have no names, so workouts arrive by date. Ask your assistant to name them by muscle group if you like.
App names belong to their owners. TrainRec isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them, and these steps describe their apps as of the date shown. If a menu has moved, their help pages have the current path.
