Move your Cronometer history into TrainRec
Cronometer exports your diary, nutrition and biometrics as CSV files from its website, on the free plan. Export them and hand them to your assistant, which brings your meals and weigh-ins into TrainRec.
How it gets in
Best results: your assistant. A connected assistant reads any export whole, fixes dates and units as it goes, and can bring in food and measurements, not just workouts. Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, is best for telling it what you did and for small pasted pieces. The other routes are there when you'd rather not involve either.
Through your assistantConnect or CoachBest results
Export the file from Cronometer, attach it in your connected assistant's chat (Claude today) and say "Import this into TrainRec". It reads the whole file, sorts out odd dates, units and exercise names, and moves everything in with TrainRec's import tools, as one batch you can undo in one tap. With Coach, the chat built into TrainRec, describe what you did ("log my last two weeks: bench 3x5 at 185 on Monday...") or paste a small piece of the export, up to about a couple of weeks at a time. If something looks off afterward, just say so and it fixes it.
Export from Cronometer
One CSV per export type: diary entries, nutrition summaries, biometrics, exercises or notes, for the date range you pick.
- Open your account on the web. Sign in at cronometer.com on a computer and open the Account tab.
- Export your data. Under Account Data, choose Export Data, pick the type and the date range, and download the CSV.
- Get the files you need. Export your servings (diary entries) for meals, and biometrics for your weight. For meal-by-meal nutrition, turn on Include diary group rows.
- Give them to your assistant. Attach the files in your assistant's chat and say "Import this into TrainRec".
- Check it in TrainRec. Your history shows up on the calendar and in your records. Something look off? Ask your assistant to fix it. You can also undo the whole batch from Changes.
Good to know
- Very long date ranges can time out. Export a few months at a time.
- The export is on the website. The mobile apps don't offer it.
